Pic 16f877a with 32.768

Dear Friends,
What value of capacitance should be used for 32.768KHz crytsal for
Pic16f877A.I tried with 22pF and 33pF but its not working.is it needed it need to use any other components to make it work.

Hi,

The 32k crystal should work fine with 2 x 22pf caps, and can be used either as the main oscillator or timer1 oscillator.

MC will work even without capacitors.....

I think the problem is with your crystal or circuit..


MAKE SURE MASTER CLEAR(MCLR) PIN IS CONNECTED TO VDD THROUGH 10K(OR) RESISTOR....

yes..........may b problem should be in circuit.....will u please give us schematic?? so we can conclude easily that what's the problem going on....
