hello,

in Pickit2 Microchip original
PIC12F1840 is inside family 1,8V !
event this MCU has a minimum of 2,5V as power supply.

**broken link removed**

If your clone uses the same software as the genuine Pickit, go to Microchip's web site and download the latest "PK2DeviceFile.dat" file. Mine certainly has full support for the 12F1840.

Brian.

Hi,

Not sure if the OP is really trying to program via MPLab rather than the PK2 Stand Alone program V2.61.

Have to say even with device files 1.16.14 or 1.16.15 loaded in there is no sign of the pic12f1840 on the drop down menus.

Can you please provide a link to the latest device file as I cannot find anything greater than those two files.

we can find it with device files 1.62.14
PIC12F1840 is hidden in
Code:
Device Family
      Midange family
             1,8V min
12F1840
we can find it out here

Thank's for the link of updated PK2DeviceFile.dat
