Pic 12c508 Instead of 12f508

Hello guys
I want to write a small program for 12f508
I have MPLAB 6.40 & i cant find 12f508 so i've used 12c508 to write the program
But the hex doesnt work
Any idea or anyone familier with 12f508 programming can write this simple program for me

any help will b appricciated
i couldnt find any newer version of MPLAB to downlad &start with 12f508 programming

The current version is 8.60

Code for the 12C508 and 12F508 should be the same but the programming algorithm to burn it into silicon is different. The 'f' is erasable and reprogrammable but the 'c' version is one-time programmable only.
