Hi
Let me give you some more details.
I have to make a sort of alarm system for my bachelor project, that dials a specific number when a sensor is triggered, and sends a caller id code. Also, it may be useful to make a receiver that sneds the caller id and other params (calling time, etc) to a PC through some standard link. I think this could easuly be extended to a simplex V32 modem.
The requirements are:
1. It has to be built around a generic uC, prefferably a PIC, because dedicated chips would provide solutions of insufficient difficulty.
2. It has to use pulse dialling, because my home phone line is connected standard analog central. I could use someone else's line but it's better to stick with mine for testing (people get scared when they see gadgets connected to their home electronic gear).
3. It has to have a minumum of additional analog electronics connected to it.
