Hi,

I am degining a phase shifter in Cadence. I have to find phase difference between two transient waves. I am unable to do it. Can anyone please help me.

Thank you

For waveforms A & B, create a zero-crossing detector (of upward-going transition).

1) Test begins when waveform A crosses zero. Set timepoint=0.
2) Wait until waveform B crosses zero. Detect timepoint.
3) Test ends when A again crosses zero. Detect timepoint.

To determine phase difference, calculate where a zero-crossing of B occurs between two crossings of A.

What's the actual problem? Verification of your "phase shifter" or designing a phase or flight time measurement system?

Does your "phase shifter" produce frequency independent phase shift, frequency independent delay, or something else (any kind of frequency dependent phase respectively group delay)?

What's the nature of the "transient wave" applied to it, bandwidth, waveform?
