PCIe Gen3 2-lane to 2 x PCIe 1-lane, possible?

I have a module with a PCIe Gen3 2-lane, and another module connect ot this one by using 1 lane of this pcie interface.
Is it possible to use the remaining lane?
If possible, please give me some resources.
