pci2.3

Hi fox,
Need to know if pci 2.3 can be configured to work with 16bits bus????
also need to know, Can the mini pci (16bits bus) work in this configuration (I assume so...., but i need clarifications) with regular pci bus??

Lots of regards,
Hawk.

byte enable pci2.3

:eek:No!PCI is a 32 bit bus protocol.MiniPCI is 32 bit bus too.

Yes

PCI can be used with 16 bit based on byte enable active.

No, not true
There is no data path redirection from high 16 bits to low 16bits, except you use each low 16bits location for each double word address. But that is very strange.
