HI ALL,

is there any way to convert pcad ASCII to allegro BRD pcb. i have to convert some of my pcb projects to allegro pcb

Allegro has a direct import tool for PCAD ascii. I am not sure of how clean the conversion will be. From what I remember, there will be a few issues that need to be resolved once you do the conversion. You will have to create library from import for sure. Also, if I remember correctly you will have to do some cleanup on padstacks.

Hi,
Pads Do not have any seperate padstack library creation.
I think you have to create Padstack here.
Also you can get help from the Cadence support team for any intertool conversions.
 

Format conversion is a task prone to error.
