Does anyone know how to create the symbol for a Gate that doesn't start at pin 1? I am looking in the "PCAD Lib Exec User Guide, page 86, and it shows the 4 symbols used in a SN54HC7404. These symbols do not have sequential pin numbers that start at 1. The tutorial claims that these were created using PCAD Schematic, but if I try to create one of these, it won't let me save the symbol, since the pin numbers aren't sequential.

Thanks,

Mark

HI

made your symbole/footprint start whit pin 1 that mandatory

then on library executive you add your symbole as a "gate" and in "pin view" your remap it as need
for check if it right click on pin number it will highlight symbol pin and footprint pin and gate pin
for see if it match what you what
you may refer to 74xx or 4xxx chip of demo lib for reference

but personally make that it best was to screw thing and got error ... better to keep all pin 1 to 1

in case it for a connector or special thing you may use a special pad whit 0 size to
that permit to keep match between symbol pin and footprint pin
