Hi,

I am using altium to design a patch antenna, but I don't know how to draw the patch in altium...

Could anyone please advise me the steps how to do this?

There are different type of patch antenna. Which type antenna you required? All patch antennas are Microstrip type, dimensions you can download.

I want to do this on altium:

patch antenna array.PNG

where the orange parts are patch antenna (solid copper region)

In layout tool: Place->Polygon Pour or Place->Solid Region

You can draw the contour of the antenna on any mechanical layer end convert it to solid region:
1) draw the contour on mechanical1 layer for instance
2) select the contour
3) go to Tools>Convert>Create Region from Selected Primitives
4) click right button on the region and select Properties
5) change the machanical1 layer to TOP layer
