hi everybody
i wanna to know why in most application, at the output of voltage regulator use parallel cap with the same value. what is benefit of that?
would you give me any reference ?
thank you so much
Reason #1, every cap has an inherent series resistance
and inductance (ESR, ESL). These tend to get larger along
with the value and make caps less effective at high frequency
the bigger they get. But paralleling them decreases net ESR
and ESL so the result is electrically better even if C is identical.
