antenna dimensioning

Hi everyone,

I need to build a reflector antenna whose frequency range is 1 - 1,5 GHz. Can anyone give roughly the dimensioning of this kind of Antenna?

What about an horn antenna?

I have problems of accommodation...

Thanks in advance,

Lupin

Even you have problems of accommodation you need for start to decide the gain you need or Azimuth and Elevation beamwidth. Then see if its feet or you have to reduce it to meet the size.

I would say a shaped pattern :

CoC Gain : 16 dBi

EoC Gain : 18 dBi

Polarization : RHCP

AR < 2 dB

Do u have an idea for what concerns the dimensions for a reflector and horn antenna?

Lupin

Hi,

You Should calculate the dimensions of the center fed Parabolic antenna by using the formullas mentioned in 'Antennas by Balanis' Book.
