pad size

I would like to know what is the pad size, drill diameter and distance between pads used for gereral purpose PCB (vero board) with square pads.

I don't understand so well what you means...but I try to answer you.
At the beginning, we have used IPC-SM-782 "Surface Mount Design Land Pattern Standard" that you can find on www.ipc.org, and now we have "fix\adapt" the component pads whit the productive process.

MKBS

In vero boards the standard grid is 0.1" (≈2.54mm).
The gap between pads can be between 0.5 to 0.8mm and the pad will have 1.8-2.0mm.
Drill size can be anything between 0.85 and 1.0mm..

Thanks IanP. Thats what I was looking for. Actually I want to make a PCB with some prototyping area but didn't knew what pad size is used for standard prototyping PCBs available.
