Which one will be better to go with.
i have started from PIC and now jumping to AVR but
P89V51RD2 gives much more memory than AVR & quite cheap too.
can i use it on a 89c52 development board..(programmer too)?

thanks in advance

it depends on your application and usage... both are equally good in their own terms.... you do a comparison about the feature that you are going to use and then decide.... i used both and liked both.. nothing much of difference i saw in both....

definetely yes..... the code written for c52 can also be used for philips ,, and same hex file can be used for philips controller... both are pin compatible......
