ive created a symbol using the symbol editor...now its time to creat its pattern in order to complete the component....

my question is ?

the pattern for the chip in the datasheet is sot-223 surfacemount type...
do i have to creat this pattern for p-cad ???
imean how can i find another chip or ic having the same sot-223 in the library ??/

any help??? idnt want to start editing every pattern starting from zero point since ive alot of components that rnt defined in pcad libraries...

Hi,
You have to open and browse the library with PCB and find component w/ sot-223, then use Library executive and make with your symbol new one.
The link to pcad pattern library with sot-223 :
