Hello All,
I am fairly new on altium. Could anyone please kindly suggest how can I imort a gerber file/pdf file or DXF/DWG file into PCB Document and use that layer to create an outline. If I try file/import/gerber, it does not bring anything into the work area. Any easy way to do it please. How can I then copy only online and paste on to mechanical layer16.
thanks,
keyur

Press 'L' on pcb, In mechanical layers just enble mechanical layer 16.

And paste any pdf/ text file on PCB, just doble click on that from layers we can select Mechanical layers 16.

Hi K.Mehta,

Before importing first you check all the plugins required to import are installed or not(DXP/plugins and updates).

To import gerber just open one Cam file from file menu then try to import.

DXF/DWG-you can import in both sch and pcb file depending on your requirement.
