Outdoor motion detector

Please help to find one simple project for outdoor motion detector. Preferable for long distance and implanted on FPGA (microcontroller also OK).

Are you trying to build one yourself or are you looking for a project that someone else did?

I'd like to find similar project (ready open project) to understand whole process and try to change it according to my requests.

I don't know of such a project.
It shouldn't be very difficult to build your own though.

Motion at what distance are you detecting ?
What do you want to do once you detect the motion ?
