Can anybody help me with the following issue. I'm currently building a custom symbol lib for orcad capture. I have some connectors which need to be add to the library however I'm never sure about the graphical presentation of this symbol. Are there documents/reference lists/ anything available describing the graphical presentation of standard components? Is there a standard (IEEE?) defined like for semiconductors?
:?

Thanks already for the hints :!:

There are standards available for layout footprints of components (which are more important for hardware industry to work), As far as my knowledge no body has standardized schematic symbols. So you see different symbols even for generic devices in schematics done by different people using different tools.

There are many generic symbols given in textbooks, datasheets and on web which can be used as reference.
