I have a problem in optimizing my design using artisan library in buildgates synthesis. Once i optimize the design it shows a :

WARNING "Cannot find symbol library 'typical.sym' <VBGSCH-116>"
Hope I can get help on this.

do you have symbol library?
if you have you can configure the dc script to tell the dc the symbol library
if no, you can ask it from artisan

I have already did a command script in tickle file to read the library file which are :

read_alf tools/ArtisanLibrary/aci/sc-x/alf/typical.alf

Is this .alf is included with the symbol file?
Can I know the script command for read the symbol file in buildgates?

Thanks for the reply Tarkyss. Do u have msn ID?

sorry i made a mistake,
.alf normally is Standard Cell Synthesis Library,
symbol library normally is named as XXX.sym.
you can use the command
read_symbol
or
read_symbol_update
