thank you.
I have done the tutorial and im reading the manual but its hard to do it all on your own.
Esp considering i've never done backend work before.
In that link it mentions getting help from a xilinx FAE.
If i had someone to help me for a half day im sure id be sorted. Would this be possible?
thanks again
I dont think you need to register there software to use there forums
try posting in there
its such a specialised tool that not many will know how it ticks
best start there and also look on there site for links to 3rd party sites
maybe you just need to create a project from one of the examples as a real life test
change it in diverse ways and then rebuild it to a working state
learning means ....
i learned proteus for so far 9 years and im not so good
so...hehe best keep at it and look on there sites and forms
also try to order a demo of there app on cd very often cd versions come with more indepth stuff on them
as companies will look for this on cd before purchase and very often demos provide very little when just downloaded to keep them at a small size
another tip is to go to there site and click on there news email service again very often crutial info is given with there "bumf" but omited from there site and software
Hi, Im new to planahead and backend. I've gone thru the tutorial and read some of the users manual.
But its hard to know what exactly im doing as there is no step by step guide.
Now i know you cant apply one solution to every problem but is there a gerneral step by step guide that i can follow to at least get me up and running. At the moment all im doing is applying the tutorial steps to my edif/ucf and im getting no where fast.
things that are getting me are - only 200 paths are shown in timing view and these arent what id expect to be the critical paths. How can i see all paths? And the routing delays for each?
how do i shape a pblock exactly? it seems a bit like ms paint - draw a rectangle. not at all exact.
So id appreciate some help please and especially a general step by step guide.
