fuzzy logic controls

Hi,
does anyboody experiment fuzzy logic controls? what do you think about it compared with other methods?
I have seen the demo of f-u-z-z-y-T-e-c-h: looks nice and very powerful. Any other software utility?

Bye All!

There is one microcontroller (that I know of) which has fuzzy logic support (build-in) instructions. It's Motorola's M68HC12. Give it a try... :)

I´m a fan of Motorola but i know that ST have devices, ST52x301 with hw support for FUZZY control. FUZZYSTUDIO(TM)3 can be downloaded free of charge from the ST website (https://www.st.com).

Hmm..The STxxxxxx parts are pretty impressive. However, it's gonna be very difficult for me to buy one of these microcontrollers in my country.. ..

f*u*z*z*T*E*C*H supports the following microcontrollers:

Intel (8051 and 80251)
Intel (8096, 80C196)
Motorola (68HC05, 68HC08, 68HC11xx and 68HC12xx)
Microchip (PIC16C5X, PIC16CXX, PIC17CXX)
SGS-Thomson (ST6 family)
Mitsubishi (374xx)
Siemens Infineon (C16x)
Texas Instruments (TMS-320 C2x/3x/4x and 5x)

ST have more advanced microcontrollers, the ST FIVE subfamilies: ST52x400, ST52x410, ST52x420, ST52x430, ST52x440, ST52x520, ST52x521, ... with hardware support for Fuzzy control. A new IDE called Visual FIVE allow to design, compile, debug your project and to download it into ST FIVE devices.

Visual FIVE can be downloaded free of charge from the ST website (https://www.st.com).

Software rFLASH (Rigel Corporation) provides fuzzy support for the 8051.
You can download rFLASH User's Manual from the website https://www.rigelcorp.com
