Open Source development tools for RTOS projects ?

Is there any complete open source development environment availble for any microcontroller type for the RTOS based embedded projects ?

(whether that IDE comes as a single program or group of separate open source applications, it doesn't matter)

Please provide the following information regarding above query :

* target micro-controller's name
* free IDE (assembler, C compiler, debugger, programmer etc.)
* free RTOS compatible with above IDE and microcontroller( i.e, RTOS code editing and application development should be possible with the above mentioned assembler or C compiler etc.

Suggest you take a look at gnu tool set. It has all that you want: compiler, linker, debugger, assembler, binutils. The whole toolset has been port to numerous cpus.
 

Search for eCos.............
I dont remember controllers but it does support hitachi's 32 bit controllers
 

IDE you can use gcc free assembler, C compiler, debugger.
RTOS you can use freertos.It is Open Source and port for many MCU.

I will look at home for a (free) e-Book where there's a complete guide on how to set up your linux with all its tools to become a complete development environment for embedded systems.
