on screen display chip

Hi experts,
I have a small problem, maybe anybody can help...
What I need is a OSD-Chip similar to the STV5730A, but with the capability to display some user-defined characters. I've searched the web several days, found nothing
But if you have a look at the BOB-3 from decade engineering (h**p://www.decadenet.com/bob3/bob3.html), thats exatly what i need :p
Has anybody a suggestion about the type of this 32-Pin-Ic on BOB3 :?:
Thanks

That chip used by BOB it is most likely M35061-xxxxx manufactred by Mitsubishi. They chave complete data sheet on their website.
