old Motorolla 68HC705j1A development board

I just came across and old Motorola development board for the 68HC705j1A. Unfortunately, the software that it came with is on an old floppy disk! Is there anyway I can inexpensively experiment with this board using currently available software? Thanks for your help.

If I remember correctly, the 68HC705 is a member of the 6805 family

GCC seems to only support the 68HC11 and 68HC12 series, however there maybe a 68HC05 variant out there:
