Hi, i need yo know where to find the pinout or datasheets for these old laptop LCD displays, that have the following reference:
LM80C24 (apple powerbook 1400cs)
LM-BE53-2NEK (old compaq)
LM12S029 (toshiba satellite)
Anyone know where to find this info?
This is for trying to interface them with Vga output signal.
Have you tried contacting the manufacturer for a data sheet?
Self-made interfacing these panels to an analog VGA is pretty expensive and will exceed the cost of a complete new TFT monitor by several times. Your only cheap chance is to use the graphics board of the laptop where the display is mounted in and interface the graphics board to an ISA bus.
The chance of getting a mating ready-to-use interface device is nearly 0, as these boards where used only in a few development kits. There is little chance that you can use the inferface board of a more modern TFT monitor because the driving logic has chanced completely since then with the technology.
The best thing is to use these panels as a high-tech picture frame.
