Hi all,
I encounter a lot with the term "off-line" converter or "offline" switcher. for example I read "Optimized For Off-line and DC-to-DC Converters
today on the datasheet of UC3845. I just wonder what "off-line" does mean here? Thanks in advance.

Off-line means, how can I say, that the converter is connected to the AC Plug, in the wall. You know what I mean? That's it ;)
