Hi all , i am using a 30MHz ocxo for my application of local oscillator ,
kindly let me know if there will be any frequency variations due to the pressure changes on the OCXO,
let us say 3 times the normal pressure (3 Bar is am correct)...
please let me know if there are any calculations regarding this topic...
thanks a lot for ur time ....
The crystal is normally in an evacuated can. So more pressure, more deflection on the can and the stray capacity will increase, so the frequency might drop. I don't think by very much, parts per 10^8 ? The same thing could happen to any component, which is air sealed with epoxy or such like. It could be advantageous to allow the kit to acclimatise for a day or two before its used, if not the frequency could suddenly jump as the can collapses (just a bit ).

Hi thanx a lot for the reply....
So even if i choose a through hole component instead of a connectorized one ,i need to acclimatise the component the same way?
and is there any calculation for the shift occuring due to pressure change?
