can any one send how to detect object in fpga through ir sensor using spartan 3e or nexys 2 board?

use an ir transmitter led as transmitter and generate 38khz frequency from fpga to power the transmitter and use an ir receiver led for detection. place both leds parallel to each other like this UU. Ir receiver diode is sensitive at this freq so you will get long range and if an obstacle is placed before it the receiver will get a pulse.
