How to construct a nanosecond pulse with SRD(step recovery diode)?
 

SRD pulser is legacy technique, so let's refer to a museum instrument. See SRD pulse generator of an old Tektronix S1 sampling head, in this case generating complementary pulses:

SRD is forward biased by a current source and switched off by an avalanche transistor. Output step signal is shaped by shorted transmission lines, seen on the photo below R59.
