Hello,

In a CDMA system, one of the codes that can be used is the m-sequence codes, or the maximal length sequence codes. These codes are periodic with period N=2^m-1, where m is the number of stages in the shift register. It is said in different sources that an m-sequence generated by a shift register with 3 stages have a period of 7 and the No. of sequences is 2. Can anyone tell me why the number of sequences is 2?

Thanks
