i am new to dsp

i am starting a project on shape recognition

i mean only simple geometrical shape viz. square, rectangles, triangles and other polygons , circle

i would like to know which bks i shd refer

First of all, You should develope your recognition algorithm using MATLAB.
May be a simple Neural network is enough. ( of course there are better solutions. )
Then choose a dsp...
