Hi,

I'm working on a project. I have to run noise analysis simulation - figure out the output noise power- of a sense amplifier in cadence. But I really have no ideas how I should simulate it. It seems like, in digital circuit world, we only talk about noise margin but my supervisor wants me to do that noise analysis. So, please give me some help. Thanks a lot!

hi,
the noise margin in digital ckt, i think, is different from what your supervisor refer to. like amplifiers, digital ckt such as inverter also has its thermal or flick noise too. in this way, you can look up some papers about noise in ring oscillators.i think there are lots of such papers.
good luck.

you can simulate the device or op seperately

In SPICE, you can use .noise for noise analysis. However, a noise model parameter is required to get some reasonable results. Contact the foundry for the noise model.
