I'm new to this design and I would like to ask anybody here if they have a schematic or link to schematics of a SMPS unit with 90-240 VAC input and output of ±70 VDC 20 Amps for the MOSFET Amp I assembled?
On this schematic the input is shown as a DC ..
Using this concept you will have to have a step-down transformer which will operate with both 120 and 230 voltages .. and the voltage has to be rectified with a smoothing cap ..
Can I have some questions:
Do you really need stabilized voltage to supply your amplifier?
Can you accept a centre tap transformer with +/- voltage rectifier + caps to supply your amplifier? ..
If you intend to use the PSU for an audio amplifier, it will be better to use the classic one with transformer, bridge rectifier and high value capacitors. A SMPS, cannot stand the peak values demands of the amplifier.
