MixedSignal layout issue

Hi everyone

We are just starting the SOC design project which includes large digital logics &
PMU(DC-DC converter) & Audio CODEC (or D-Class AMP)

We are concerned about noise/interference/EMI issues when all these block are integrated in single chip.
(especially about grounding, shielding, de-coupling, etc)

is there any materials(book/document/paper or advices, etc) that help us?

thanks in advance

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

Go to analogue dialog website. They have some very good papers on grounding shielding etc.
Just reply If u want me to post some of those papers.

regards

MixedSignal layout issue

i am very interesting on this issue.
because our chip have encounter EMI problem

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

thx for your reply.

If you post them for me and others, it will be very helpful.

Best regards.

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

Hi everyone
It would be a great help if any one can share papers or material on this topic.
in our company also we have the same issues.

thanks

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

Alan Hasting book ...

Title : The Art of Analog Layout Design

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

contains some papers from analog dialogue. gives basic understanding

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

Avoid the stupid error to simulate a power supply net somewhere in the middle of the project!

There are sucessful SOC matching your components. But start before doing any scheduling and circuit partioning of a supply analysis.

Model the board components, the package, the internal decoupling, the internal impedance, the internal noise sources, the receivers, the interface between quiet and noisy, substrate separation and connections, ...

This simulation formation provide you enough guidelines for the SOC project.

Re: MixedSignal layout issue

the papers are useful ones..
