Dear all,

i need 2 sample HFSS projects
1. PBG structure in microstrip patch antenna design.
2. EBG structure in microstrip patch antenna design.

hfss file, documentation or EDABoard related link is highly expected. Plz help me.

In addition, i successfully implement GA optimization in patch antenna(snpatch) by SuperNEC 2.9. If anybody need that documentation I can provide.

thanks,
Refai

for PBG design check this topic it contains some stuff related to PBG

microstrip fed patch antenna HFSS10

below links also include PBG simple example etc

Help me with a simple HFSS example on AMC/EBG design ??

Dear Hanif bhai(brother),

thanx for ur suggested links. But they didn't provide actually what i need. However, just now I got an idea how to implement PBG substrate in Microstrip Antenna. Pray for me.

I m very new in EBG world. but may be u can try to insert rectangular metal substance into the Substrate. If u dont get that metal substance in HFSS metrial list u can manually create that by defining permittivity, loss tangent. To get those data u may google metal's permittivity, loss tangent, conductivity. I will personally do that after finishing my PBG project actually.

I attach a thesis paper on EBG_MSA. u may get some idea from that.

I know nothing about AMC, except its elaboration "Articifial Magnetic Conductor". Hahahaha.

Keep in touch.

Best regards,
