zarlink mvtx2804

Does anyone use fu..ng Zarlink?
Zarlink MVTX2804 problem.
Could you help me, please!

Chip don`t work, internal BIST fail...
Power - OK, strapping - OK.
Zarkink Support are slow...
What`s the problem? Has anyone encountered this problem?

I will suggest that you look into the power-on sequence. I had bad experience on Zarlink's part.

Read their document and make sure the core voltage and I/O voltage are applied according to their suggestion.

Besides, the reset pulse is also important, make sure the reset is applied after the system clock is stable. Of course some boot-strap pins shall be properly pull-up or pull-down depends on your selection of operating mode.

Hope this will help you out of troubles.

Re: Need help! Zarlink MVTX2804 (8x GbE Switch) startup prob

Hello!
Thanks for answer....
Do you have problem with this switch also?
I can`t find any requirments regards power seq.
for MVTX2804... in Zarlink documents :-(
But our power module provides simultanous
voltage on VCCcore and VCCio with 25 ms. ramp.
Are this correct?
I`m ask their support and wait for answer...
Nevertheless, could you share data about power seq.
with me, please?

Happy New Year,
Black
