this is my circuit how do i connect ir2110 gate driver to the mosfets, the sources of both the mosfets are shorted , isnt der any standard circuit , the supply to the circuit in the figure is 120vrms and expected output is 400vdc
plz do help

Hi,

the IR2110 is made for two N-Ch mosfets.

goto IRF.com (international rectifier)
http://www.irf.com/browse?Dy=1&Nty=1&Ntt=ir2110

print on the part number and download datsheets.

In the datashhet you find standard circuits.
For further information look at IRF.com for application notes on "FET driver", "MOSFETs" "driving MOSFETs" or "IR2110 application note" or similar to find related information.

Hi,

sorry, i just realized that the schematic is for AC switching (always both FETs on or both FETs off).

I don´t know if this is possible with IR2110.

Klaus

You cannot use IR2110 to drive these mosfets. Because the source voltage can be either negative or positive you will have to drive them with transformers.

Hey you Can use Pulse transformer gate driver along with totempole circuit

thanx
ramesh

you cannot use the 2110, you need a transformer or other approach...
