need help on speech enhancement using neural network

I'm going to work on speech enhancement using neural networks. do u have any idea for a inteligent start?
I have to do it as my final thesis (ms degree).
any help would be appreciated. matlab mfiles , ieee papers , any personal experience , sample projects , thesis , .....

may be u can provide some extra information as what r u going to do like a cochlear model or fft based decomposition etc.
