line follower robot circuit

Hello to EDAboard member,

I need help on how to create or what is the concept in designing a line following robot using PIC Micro?:D

line following robot circuit

hi there.........
a line following robot is the basic moving model in most robots

the principle is that u differentiate the background from the line by using a light/dark sensor....usually sensors come cheap or u can use ldr's(made of CdS)

the output of this sensing circuit can be used as an interrupt to a micrcontroller on any priority level reqd

very high levels of light/dark sensitivity can be achieved ....much less than a cm was possible using a simple ldr

hope it helped u
cheers!!!!

line follower robot

@abishek

any links on line following robot? have you developed this kind of project?:D

line following robot

there are many links on line following robots.........we did work on one
we got this electronis part right but got stuck with the motion(gears motor and stuff)

tell me what xactly u want to develop.....

sensor circuit for line follower robot

@abishek
i've been into developing MOBOT..i want to know how it was done! can i ask for a schematic from ur work?

a simple line follower robot circuit

can anybody share a link on a line following robot circuit and concepts?

discovercircuits
http://elm-chan.org/works/ltc/report.html

check the above sites....
jus try google...u'll get tons of info on this
even tutorials

but how we went about it was as i told.....do a separate light detector circuit
using a cadmium sulphide ldr...
then interface it to a microcontroller like 8051 ...
ur speed of course depends on the bulk on the bot and most imp the mototrs

usually stepper motors are used if u wanna turn
u can also use dc geared motors....normal dc motots may not have gud braking due to inertia

hope this helped.....
cheers

There are different ways of line follower robot making. You can use different sensors and different control circuitary and different motor speed control. I have explained about it on my book

MY EXPERIENCE IN AUTONOMOUS ROBOTICS

It is a free book. You can get it from yahoo group-booksbybibin

project report for simpleline follower.

Hi,

I found this link very helpful when i made a robot for the contest. David Cook has really guided the way from the simplest of line following. Hope u find this link useful

You can find many information by searching "line follower robot" from "google.com"

report on line following robot

for detection of line a more costly but reliable approach use ccd chips

line follower using ldr

I had have information in Make Line Follower ROBOT Project. thus as link below

I am doing line following robot as my mini project.can you please tell me whether we can add applications like pick and drop with line following.if so how to do it?

for designing line following robot whether normal castor wheel is enough?either we should use plastic or metal?how many needed to make the robot balanced?

This was my mini project too. So i think i'll be able to help you.

Did you mean that the robot should stop for a while for pick up and then move forward. If so yes you can do that. Putting a delay can do that..quite simple :)

I have used metal castor wheel and it worked perfectly.

how many needed to make the robot balanced?
I have used only one castor wheel(in the front side)
At the rear i have used two simple wheels(plastic)
