My boyfriend ticked me off by inviting a bunch of people to watch the game at our house and volunteered me to babysit without even bothering to ask how I felt about any of it. So, without damaging anything, (I don't want to hear him gripe about having to repair stuff.) I need a way to block our Dish Network satellite receiver from getting signal during the game, preferably in a way that won't be easily discovered and fixed right away by him or his friends. They can go to the local sports restaurant to watch the game and take their kids with them.

Thank you!

How do I take the dish card out?

It's a Hopper if that matters any.

Simply eliminate beer from fridge, without beer they are like a fish out of water. :)

Additional to this you can give final strike with very salt chips.

Do you have access to satellite dish? Dish is on ground or on roof of house ?

Best regards,
Peter

the reciever has front door /on left side/ just open it and remove smartcard ...
or you can put small piece scotch tape on contacts of smartcard...

The dish is on the roof of my son's playhouse but if I had to I could get to it. I'm not seeing a door anywhere on the front of the receiver.

Kyrietec... I don't know how to lock a frequency.

BY jamming anyone's satellite receiver, you break the law. You never know who else is going to be jammed. You will be locked behind bars quite fast.

There was a better idea for interrupting games like yours. A remote control in a watch that switches off the TV. This is legal.

If you can reach the LNB (at the end of the arm on the dish), place aluminum foil over the plastic end facing into the dish. It will completely block ALL signals and when they've gone to the restaurant just pull it off again. It's safe, quick and not obvious unless they look closely.

Brian.

Hi
I don't think that it will be out of control . i've designed some jammers with special direction . just the dish which we want can be jammed !
By the way all kind of commercial jammers can be changed as a uni direction jammer system . just using a reflector behind of its antenna .
