need help in Visual Basic 6.0

i am currently doing on my final year project which develope a program to control home automation using visual basic 6.0. Who knows where can i learn the VB that related to activeX control online? Moreover, anyone please kindly tell me that send the data to my computer parallel port using VB? thank you
