need help in matlab filtering

hi ,
please help me in designing the simple filter :

The signal use to bandpass is in text form (EEG) data, is also uploded, and it needs
without using the FDA Tool. the given specification is given as:
Use the tool MATLAB simple coding

Q: sampling (hz): 200

cutoff1: 12 hz
cutoff2: 18 hz

use fir1 filter , and use no.of samples, at the best result.

please help me in this work ,as i want to compare my result, a si suspect i could be wronge....

please help me.... if anybody could.......

If you are using fir1, then u must be correct. Only thing is that remember, a 1.0 while designing represents fs/2. Thats all. Check with freqz, whether you are getting the desired freq response.

yah, i donot get get my desired frequency.........
please tell me ... what is the concept of normalize frequency , in designing filter.(bandpass).

which frequency is to normalize.
Also i have got a prob. i x-asis as a frequency axis(in hz), what can i do for it..
