low jitter clock

Hi, i'm in need of making a low jitter clock...i know they're available out there, but i need this rather quickly, and i need an advise on how to build it...will regular pierce oscillator do the job?if so, what should i look for in the components(key feature) esp the cmos and crystal? Thanks

low jitter clock

In most cases, people simply buy a good standard crystal oscillator. You may want to specify more detailed what you regard as "low jitter". Phase noise vs. frequency offset would be a more exact specification. Also carier frequency and required long term stability are important parameters.
