Hi friends
Has any one designed homodyne detector using HSMS286 diodes?
This are schottkey diodes.
I want to build detector for frequency 5.8GHz.
I dont have experience in detector design using ADS.
I have created nonlinear model using datasheet.
& trying HB simulation. But i dont know whether i am going in right direction or not.
so please guide me
Thank you

to design a dtector , u need to use circuit envelop simulation not the HB

coz the circuit envelop support the varaing envelope harmonics

khouly

But How to do Matching for this diodes?
The Incoming signals will vary from -10 dBm to say -50dBm.
How to do Input impedance ematching for this?
& the O/p of this is direct DC. so is o/p matching required for this diodes?
Have anyone tried using such kind of detectors?
