Hi All!
I want to know about the PCI Modem of a PC. About the standard specification,
interface's protocol, command sets. (Interface via PCI port)
I have searched by google but find nothing!
I need some doccument of its.

Most pci modems behave as a serial port to the PC. You will see it listed under 'serial ports' in device manager. Then the modem part behaves as a standard hayes-compatible (more or less). It's just like having a serial modem plugged into a serial port.

So that is what you need to look for - serial port hardware/interfacing and hayes-compatible modems and the AT command set.

There are some pci modems (often called winmodems) that have very little hardware and are maily just a line driver/receiver interfaced to an io port. These are almost entirely software driven by the OS and generally only work under Windows, hence the name winmodem.

Hope this helps,
FoxyRick.
