Need help about microchip TCP/IP!

hi all, I'm new to PIC microcontroller and ethernet. And I'm trying to make a electronic contrller device through ethernet. I have read the Microchip TCP/IP stacks again and again, but I don't unstand it clearly, and can not use the Stack's API to implement into my projects.
