how connector works

hello everyone,

i don't understand how the connector works
the situation like this :-

i design the antenna using sma connector and the impedance is 50 ohm
however my supervisor change the impedance connector to 65 ohm and said that connector still can work for 50 ohm. i wonder how and why the connector different impedance will give effect to the resonance. hope anybody can explain to me.

rgds,
kyg

how connector works

Hi,
I dont know, if this answer is exactly for you, but prblem is Matching -

**broken link removed** -

gamma = (65-50)/(65+50) = 0.13 => -20*log(gama) = 17.7 dB - so it is good (not the best, but you can use it).
