please
anyone help me debugging this
i simulate 9 conductors surronded by sio2 (insulators) and all in a si substrate
i try to get the z,y paramters they are always zero why?

your wave ports are the same diameter as the copper cylinder (25um), normally you want wave ports larger than the conductor they are illuminating

why? could u please modify it and supply the file again?

Added after 1 minutes:

i mean if i make the waveport larger than the copper it will intersect with the silicon dioxide surrounding copper is it ok?

i found the problem - you have assigned bulk conductivity to the silicon and silicon dioxide. remove this and the simulation works. i have not been able to use conductivity in a dielectric and wave ports together. in those cases, i use lumped ports and terminal mode solution.

in general, wave ports should be much larger than the conductor they are illuminating. they should cover the conductor and a large portion of the dielectric. otherwise the results will not be accurate. you can see this in the HFSS manual example 6.5.
