12 volt regulation

I'm looking for a circuit that will supply a smoothe 12 volts DC to a marine stereo that is very sensitive to even small voltage spikes as the motor is running and charging a 12V battery. Stereo is good when motor is off.
The stereo is 4 channel 40w each, 6amp.
