3 Phase two power lines can be connect only if;

1. same phase must be same voltage.
2. Same phase must be have same angle and same frequency.

This circuits find the differance between the same phase using transformator.( Secondary series connected )

Secondery voltage will be zero if amplitude and phase same.

System waits this point and if find it, relay deactivated.

Base polarma resistor and filter capacitor (base side) may be change for you applications.

( I didnt use this circuit. You can try realy relay deactivated at syncronize condition.)

You can use same circuits for single phase.


Following zip give a basic idea for transfer switch.

We used this methode for to connect two 3 phase alternator.

two series connected 220v lamps, dosnt lights if two alternator produce same voltages and same phase.

lamps continuosyly light or flash, If two alternator has different freq.

We push the power switch, if all lamps turn off.
